1) Read 50 books

Frankenstein Read from Oct 08, 2013 to Nov 03, 2013

Read for class. It was a really good book actually, I was surprised! I had to have the audiobook playing along for the first half though since I could barely focus on reading it.

Othello (SparkNotes No Fear Shakespeare) Read from Nov 19, 2013 to Dec 2013

Read for class. Othello was ok. I wouldn’t have read it on my own otherwise.

After Dead: What Came Next in the World of Sookie Stackhouse (Sookie Stackhouse, #13.5) Read from Dec 10, 2013 to Dec 11, 2013

This was an absolute ABOMINATION and an affront to loyal fans of the series! I will never read another book by Charlaine Harris after having read this.

“John Quinn had many more adventures.” ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! That’s all that is written for a major character in the series, and yet others who I barely remembered had paragraphs of just as bad crap. I’m horribly disappointed in what I just read.

It took me an hour to read what took her a year to write, that’s how appalling it is. I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone to read, I’m just glad I didn’t pay for it!

Torment (Fallen, #2) Read from Dec 20, 2013 to Dec 23, 2013

A pretty decent continuation of the story. Glad she finally grew some lady balls at the end instead of playing the victim card.

Passion Read from Dec 23, 2013 to Dec 31, 2013

Fallen in Love: A Fallen Novel in Stories Read from Jan 10, 2014 to Mar 25, 2014

A beautifully sappy book on finding love! It was great reading how each of the characters found love from the series, even if that love didn’t last. Great character development.

Dead Ever After (Sookie Stackhouse, #13) Read from May 07 to 08, 2013

Finally! I’d all but lost hope in this series, but this book renewed my love for it! It didn’t end how I wanted it to, but I’m left feeling satisfied that Harris ended the series well.

Dead Like Me Read from May 09 to 22, 2013

Fantastic novel set in my hometown! With a wicked twist, I had a hard time putting it down!

Pride and Prejudice Read for class. I chose to take the course only because it was an in-depth look into the book!

Jump When Ready Read from June 16 to 22, 2013

This book was absolutely amazing! I loved how despite it’s somewhat depressing storyline about death/suicide and kidnapping, the book itself was very light and really a joy to read. I hated having to put it down to do other stuff! I got so engrossed and was cheering on Henry as he tried to navigate his situation and help his sister at the same time. The ending had me tearing up. I’m so glad I read this book.

Uprising (Children of the Gods #2) Read from June 06 to July 14, 2013

Holy wow. I never thought about how hard it would be to have everyone and everything depend on your decisions. Elyse had so much on her plate and the way that Therrien wrote the story was just amazing! A full range of emotions are captured in this book, it was sometimes too much to read. I hope there’s another book on the way! I have to know what happens with William and the new Oracle!
